Lazy Sundays

Thank God for Sundays. The one day of the week where all the bullshit of recent history can be thrown aside, and for 6-7 hours of NFL football I can do nothing and feel good about it. Today I can tune into football, listen to the recent hypem charts, and forget about the weeks problems.

Todays picks are scattered, flowing from goofy alternative songs to beatiful mixes.I'm gona start with the goofy, and roll out Tiger Love's recent chart hit. laugh at it, it's pretty rediculous.

 It's been a great couple of weeks. the past couple weekends have been filled with seeing family and hometown times. And with the long hibernation of winter looming over the horizon, my writing has been absent, but there's still been plenty of good music flowin. With the Utica phish show commin up, and the possibility of seeing more of the home boys on wednesday, I've decided to post a quick bit on songs that bring it back home. there's no underlying theme today, just an overall post of personal favorites.

I'll kick it off with a song that deserves some love now. Easton's very own Austin Eterno broke into the hypem top 5 today, and settled in at #2 with his "I remember shelter" mix. A Fantastically serene mix, the song melts over like a popsicle in july.

Not to be too obvious with the home theme, but it's just too catchy not to put on here. Anyone who's been watchin the games on Sunday with have heard Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros song "Home," which is all over the tailgaiting NFL commercial (you can listen to it here). To keep it upbeat though, I'm gona put the Myndset mix down. Fun and versitile.

Alright, so I've been slow on posts. I'm better than that. But to make up for a lack of posts, I'm laying down a playlist to keep people booty bumpim' till the AM. While most of the Colgate crowd may not recognize these tracks, they have the fundamental elements of good party music. Bumpin base and beats, and a steady good to great time vibe. A Place Behind the Moon

Big Gigantic Dropped their new album today, 'A Place Behind the Moon'. Let me tell you, it delivers. With classic beat bumpin Jazz riffs and hip-hop beats, the entire album is a trip. AS mentioned in a previous post, Big Gigantic were easily my favorite shows of the summer, and are definitely something to be checked out. Most of their upcoming tour is west based, but if you get a chance, GO and see them. Here are my two favorites from the new album, 'Limelight', and the duby 'Step Up'.
